As JakeBeats residents we were duty bound to kick start the new Soundcloud page with a mix that hopefully sums up everything the nights all about....I think we managed to achieve it but I suppose it's for you to decide - yae or nae?
If you like the mix it's only on the JakeBeats Soundcloud but you can get it for free at 320kbps so get it downloaded before were tossed for the new resident mix ya dig?
We thought since it was Christmas and we hadn't posted anything on here yet that we should give you something nice...our way of saying Hi. We are Homebass Dj's (Kev Katchi + Badfinger) and this is what were all about! We hope you enjoy this wee mix and if you do its available for download as a tidy wee .wav file!
Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year, we look forward to getting to know you all a bit better in 2011 ;)
So.... you wanna know what flicks the RNS switch?!... Where did Roll N Square come from?
Well... We (Dirty Basement) wanted to make a mix that showcased our full DJ spectrum as well as showcase what our Subcity Radio show would be all about. And i think this mix is a prime example of both.
House//Electro//Rave//Disco//NuWave//Techno//Classics//Dubstep//Italo//Wonk//Breaks... it's got it all.
You can stream it here off of our Mixcloud or there's a download link above the tracklist below. Either way ENJOY!!
So it seems absolutely everyone entered the U&A Recordings remix competition last month and the winners were announced, Jeff T's entry winning overall, but all the finalist's entries were fantastic.
As it goes both Dirty Basement & Digital Stitch also entered the competition, neither of which made the final six. However on the plus side it does mean to free downloads for you.
So the second Heartbeats album is available for free download from today!
The main idea of this compilation is that everyone from the 1st album should all remix each other and see what happens... You can hear for yourself what happened. I think this is even better than the first.
We (Dirty Basement) have finished our first collaboration with the lovely Baby Taylor. The song originally started off as a Electro House track but after recording the vocals we thought it would sound good as a Dubstep track too. We stripped it down and started building it as a Dubstep track, which we actually ended up finishing before the original mix.
